The 2014 IFLA President’s Meeting will take place this year in Helsinki, Finland from 22-23 May 2014 at the Parliament Annex.

The focus of the event will be “Strong Libraries, Strong Societies: Impact of Libraries on Society”, and it will explore the key role of libraries in the knowledge society and how they exert an effect on it, as well as their important role in societal development, at both the local and international level.
The results of the meeting will help to inform the formation of such policies and practices that will serve to strengthen the impact of libraries on society in many parts of the world.
During the event, will be also discussed the IFLA Trend Report and effects of trends on libraries.
2014 IFLA President’s meeting is an open meeting for all and there is no conference fee, but registration is mandatory.
