Euroscience Open Forum 2014

The Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) is Europe’s largest, general science meeting and is held in a leading Europe city every two years. ESOF 2014 will be hosted in Copenhagen, at the Carlsberg City District, has been chosen as the venue for ESOF2014. from June 21-26, 2014.

ESOF2014 Copenhagen is designed as an open platform for debating science and as a showcase for European and global research at all levels. ESOF2014 will be a unique opportunity for leading scientists, young researchers, students, entrepreneurs, policymakers, journalists and the general public to discuss new discoveries and debate the direction that research is taking in all the sciences.

The vision is to raise awareness of science in the public and to strengthen the effective “bridges” between science and society that is synonymous with Euroscience. We have titled the 2014 meeting “Science Building Bridges”. The conference programme will be truly cross-cutting and multidisciplinary. And the programme is accompanied by an ambitious outreach programme, including a special section for secondary students – the ESOF Future Academy.

ESOF is an interdisciplinary, pan-European meeting, held under the auspices of Euroscience, which aims to:

  • Showcase the latest advances in science and technology;
  • Promote a dialogue on the role of science and technology in society and public policy;
  • Stimulate and provoke public interest, excitement and debate about science and technology.
